Grookey Pokémon|Development, Weak Point, Moveset, Statistics, And More!

Grookey

Grookey is a Grass-type Pokemon of Galar Region introduced in Generation VIII. It’s also known as the Chimp Pokemon. Grookey though seems quite small but I wouldn’t have neglected it as the Moveset, Stats, Abilities it got from the evolution turns out to be amazing when it’s in your team, and obviously, with the help of team-up abilities the weakness can be well dealt with.

It’s also one of the three starter Pokémon revealed for the core titles in Pokémon Sword and Sheild. Along with Scorbunny and Dibble, it was revealed to the public on February 27 in 2019.

Physical Appearance

It’s like a small monkey-like Pokémon with an orange muzzle. It has a green body, a brown tail and ears, and orange limbs and snout. It has a beige/yellow mask-like fur surrounding the eyes. Its green fur can create energy from the sunlight. It has two leaf-shaped hair tufts that hold a stick over the top of the head. This stick isn’t just any stick. It has some unique powers in it.

Behavior

This Pokémon can revitalize plants by only touching them with a stick in its fur. This stick can also be used as a weapon to hit enemies with. Just like a monkey, it can climb trees quite easily. It’s a mischievous Pokémon that is full of boundless curiosity.

How Much Useful Is My Grookey?

Grookey is a Grass-type Pokemon which makes it vulnerable to Fire, Flying, Ice, Poison, and Bug-type Pokemon. It has Overgrow ability which powers up Grass-type moves even when the Pokémon’s HP is low. Its hidden ability ‘Grassy Surge’ turns the ground into Grassy Terrain when it enters into a battle. It’s actually advantageous when it comes to Grookey. It functions as an early game Pivot which also provides the team good knock-off support. Wood Hammer is a fairly strong STAB move that can be used to deal much damage to the opposite team. It’s important that the opponent doesn’t resist Wood Hammer otherwise it wouldn’t work. It can use its Hammer Harm to KO on Pawniard at the same time dealing damage to Cufant and Ferroseed.

As its partner, Vulpix and Chinchou can be a good options. Scraggy and Vullaby which are actually set-up sweepers can also be compatible teammates for Grookey. The proper teammates should be chosen in order to cover its weaknesses. Rufflet and Onix can be fabulous teammates. For its typing, it’s pretty reliable.

So, does the Moveset, weakness, and other information seem worthy of Grookey Evolution? Then right away head to Grookey Evolution.

And if the case is otherwise then you may like to see some other Pokemon Evolution rather than the one for Grookey and can see for whatever Moveset, weakness, and other specification suits better. Visit Herald Journalism for that!
