Mega Mawile is a Steel/Fairy-type Pokémon that was introduced as a Steel-type Pokémon only in Generation III. But in the Sixth Generation, it was changed into a dual-type Pokémon. Mega Mawile is the Mega evolved form of Mawile. It is slightly longer than the traditional Mawile. Most part of its skin is colored in pink while the remaining part is colored in yellow. Unlike its original version, two pairs of jaws are emerging from the backside of its head. These two jaws are not dependent on each other. They can perfectly work on their own. They appear like dragon jaws with black colored face and several spiky teeth in their mouths. Teeth are triangular in shape and are placed at a fixed distance from each other. A big oval-shaped yellow spot is present on the top of its jaws. Their tongues are colored in pink. Thin black ribbon-like structures are located on both sides of its jaws. Its hands and legs are also colored in black. Three fingers are present on its hand with pointy shapes. The area under its palms is colored with a thick band of pink color while the remaining portion of its arm is colored in yellow. The pair of these jaws are connected to the top of its head. Two small oval-shaped eyes have white-colored pupils in them. Under its eyes, a small mouth is also present.

How To Evolve?

The traditional version, Mawile, doesn’t have any evolutionary form. It can’t undergo any evolution process. However, it has the capability of evolving itself into its Mega form. The process of its Mega evolution requires the Mawilite. It’s a type of a Mega Stone which aids Mawile in transforming into its Mega evolutionary form.

How Much Useful Is My Mega Mawile?

The jaws of Mega Mawile violently thrash around to scare its enemies.

Unlike Mawile, the Mega form contains two jaws instead of one. It utilizes its jaws to eat and gulp their entire prey into its mouth. This process is usually performed whenever it finds itself in a battle situation. It turns its back to the front side of its adversaries to target them with more accuracy. These jaws are so strong that they can completely rip apart the bodies of their foes. Furthermore, their grip is also very tight.

The ability of Hyper Cutter shields Mega Mawile’s Attack stat from its enemies. Outside of battle, whenever it used to utilize this ability on tall grass, it chopped an additional square of grass area around its trainer. However, its outside battle ability was removed after Generation IV.

While Intimidate ability helps in decreasing the Attack stat of its rival by one level.

Sheer Force functions as Mega Mawile’s hidden ability and advances the power of its moveset up to 30%. An interesting fact about it is that Mega Mawile is the only Pokémon in its Mega evolutionary form that possesses this type of ability.

Despite being very powerful, Mega Mawile becomes uneasy against all Fire and Ground-type moveset as it has a weakness against the types.
